Redding, CA, August 16th, 2024 – In a display of community support, Cattlemens Steakhouse and MeterSwap have teamed up to provide meals to 700 brave wildland and CAL FIRE firefighters who are on the frontlines of the Park Fire. This partnership underscores the commitment of local businesses to support those who risk their lives to protect our communities.

The Park Fire, which has been raging across the Butte, Tehama, Shasta and Plumas Counties, has required the efforts of hundreds of firefighters who have been working tirelessly to contain the blaze. Recognizing the need to support these heroes, MeterSwap and Cattlemens Steakhouse quickly mobilized to provide hearty meals to the firefighters.

“We are honored to be able to give back to these incredible firefighters who are working day and night to keep us safe,” said Miranda Smith, Marketing Manager at Cattlemens Steakhouse. “At Cattlemens, we believe in the power of community, and there’s no greater way to show our gratitude than by offering a meal made with care.”

MeterSwap, a local software development utility solutions company, played a crucial role in this initiative by providing financial support for the purchasing of the food and efforts of labor that was put in to the production of meals.

MeterSwap and Cattlemens Pair Up Again to Feed Front Line Workers

Cattlemens Steakhouse and MeterSwap team up to feed over 2,000 front line workers in total. After a successful run in April 2020 of feeding 1,000 front line nurses, hospital staff, and police departments in the Sacramento and Solano County area, Cattlemens and MeterSwap wanted to extend the reach into more communities. Cattlemens and MeterSwap paired up to feed another 1,000 meals in the additional communities of Shasta County, Sonoma County, Fresno County, and Alameda County. MeterSwap and Cattlemens are committed to supporting the workers that are helping those in need during the pandemic. On deciding to partner up with Cattlemens for the second round of 1,000 meal donations, Dan Block, president of MeterSwap, shared, “I’ve received several thank you emails, and as I reply, it is they who should be thanked. They are the true heroes. So honored Cattlemens guys joined me in this ‘Thank the First Responders’ campaign”.

MeterSwap and Cattlemens Feed Front Line Workers during COVID-19

Cattlemens Steakhouse has teamed up with MeterSwap to feed 1,000 nurses, hospital staff and police departments in the Sacramento and Solano County area. As soon as the surrounding counties went into a shelter in place, Cattlemens opened for take-out and curbside service only. After putting their heads together, MeterSwap and Cattlemens decided to serve those that are serving so many in need during the pandemic. It’s with the efforts of all Americans with a heart, and hope, that we will help each other get through this historical time in our lives.”

“Cattlemens’ Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, John Frenzel, offered to feed First Responders and their families for free at the concert in appreciation of their courageous efforts. No sooner than an email to Brad Caudill, Harris Ranch VP of Marketing, hundreds of pounds of Harris Ranch beef for the First Responders’ Corral and Cattlemens’ Festival booth was donated with Brad and his team committed to driving their festival grill up from the Central Valley to help. “

Cattlemens organizing efforts to support affected staff and surrounding communities.

Cattlemens Steakhouse wants to thank you for everyone’s concern for the safety and well-being of our staff and families during the Devastating wild fires that has hit this region. There have been thousands of homes lost, thousands of people still evacuated, hundreds of missing people and sadly some lives lost.

And the fires are still burning.

As Cattlemens re-opens it’s Sonoma County doors from closing since Monday October 9th, we also want to extend our sympathy to all affected in numerous and tragic ways by these Wildfires. Cattlemens is here and in this with you. The local Sonoma County Cattlemens locations have been fortunate to feed evacuation centers and first responders during this time of need.
